"This page is in memory of a fellow I never met, a poor young bull whose life was ended in a most horrific way. I hope to meet him someday, in between stoking the fires of hell for his killers!"

At Majo Country we unequivocally reject the current conventions regarding the training and use of the Andalusian. The Spanish Horse is a wonderful gentle giant. We do not pigeon hole the horse of the Iberian Peninsula into the sterotypical. To fall in line with the status quo is to disrespect this horse's nobility. At Majo's Stall we are saying what the International Andalusian Lusitano Horse Association should be saying if they were interested in doing right by the breed and serving a greater good:" This is too fine a horse to be associated in any way with the torturous and barbaric activity of fighting bulls." Perhaps some day IALHA will take it upon themselves to work for something beyond a new show calendar. Instead, they allow pretend bull fights at sanctioned shows in the USA. There is no excuse for the tragic and inhumane behavior of Spanish boys trying to prove their manhood! Bullfights are in exact opposition to the loving gentle giant we call the Andalusian! This poor fellow below is but one unfortunate victim of the blood thirst sport. He was tortured long before he even was in the bullring. For just a brief moment someone saw the kind and pleasant nature of this poor guy and called him Brighteyes. But he never had a chance. Brighteyes pain was needed to provide entertainment for a sadistic mob. His death and suffering were needed to establish the machismo of thugs called Matadors. Cry now please for Dear Brighteyes. For one moment feel the pain, confusion, and terror poor Brighteyes was forced to endure. He had no desire to bring harm to anyone. This event was not a fight and he did not request participation. Cry out against the sickness that continues in the name of tradition. Call it what it is, nothing more than cruelty for amusement. Voice your protest loudly against all those that call this total lack of respect for life a sport! A Matador is hardly more than a terrorist. He attacks the helpless and defensless for his own glory. Mark Twain once said God made man as he was dissapointed in the monkey. I think it was more likely the other way around. Poor Brighteyes met up with God's real dissapointment, the egocentric animal that proves his worth by destruction of the innocent! Majo spits on all those that by their silence condone this barbarism! May the angels gently hold Brighteyes Soul! Majo salutes his spirit. It is time for the Spanish boys to grow up and the touristos to find a way to amuze themselves that doesn't require the prolonged destruction of a gorgeous animal. May you all meet in the fires of Eternal Hell! I will be stoking the coals.
